Some quantities of fruits, vegetables will be determined by the number of people that will be served.

Honey and brown sugar should be eaten according to taste but not abused.

Baked potatoes are served during lunch and dinner only when there is no salad or entrée that includes potatoes.

The Hippocrates Soup is always served during lunch and dinners even when there is another type of soup served.

It is a good idea to have a pot of Hippocrates Soup in the refrigerator. This extra soup can be used for many of the recipes listed.

Times for preparing meals in oven will vary depending on the oven, altitude and ingredients being prepared.

Lettuces utilized for meals can be of any variety except Iceberg.

It is important (when cooking vegetables) to place very little water in the pot. There should be enough to boil and simmer but not so much that the nutrients of the vegetables are drained,

Most of the recipes here do not have specific measurements. This is because some foods such as carrots, potatoes, beets, can be prepared earlier in the day and then used for the meals for lunch and dinner.
